WWI TRENCH ART MG3 BRASS SHELL YPRES ARRAS PASSCHENDAELE VALENCIENNES 1916-17-18

Wonderful piece oftrench art from WWI commemorating battles in France as written on its sides: Valenciennes, Passchendale, Arras and Ypres. It is dated 1916-17-18 and includes Maple Leafs in its decor. Excellent detail. Please see photos.

The piece is crafted from an MG3 brass shell. It weighs 1.635kg or 3 lbs 9.6 oz. The piece measures approximately 6" diameter and 4 1/2" tall. It's in great condition, a little bending to the scalloped edging along the top, as found but in very good shape for its age.
