An Original WW1 French 1916 dated French Lebel Rifle/Bayonet Wire Cutting Attachment.
This attachment fits onto the bayonet of the rifle and allows the wire to be directed over the muzzle of the rifle so that it can be broken by firing a bullet.
The cutter has "B 4 16" stamped onto it as can be seen in one of the photographs.
The wire cutting attachment is complete and undamaged, it is unpainted but solid.
