Instituted by the Sultan of Turkey this silver medal was awarded to troops of the allies who fought in the Crimea.
ThisBritish issuemedal is 36 mm diameter and to the obverse has a cannon & flags of the allies and is dated 1855. The reverse has the Sultan's Toughra.
The suspender and claspare incorrect replacements.
The medal has minor edge knocks some wear and is unamed. To the reverse thereareflat spotsof wear in the wreath either side of the Toughra.
