AN EIGHT-PIECE ASSORTMENT OF ORIGINAL WORLD WAR I VINTAGE SHEET MUSIC WITH FRAMEABLE ART COVERS. This lot of vintage
sheet music was all culled from a much larger estate collection of piano and popular sheet music from the earlier part of the
century. All of these eight titles were hand-picked for their relation to World War One and the American military
participation. This is great stuff for the vintage music collector, for the WWI/Military History buff, or these old graphic
covers make EXCELLENT framed artwork, especially when you have a thematic group like this one! Everything here is in at least
"swell" condition; I'll list each one with photos below. I'll be following this listing with a GIANT selection of period
sheet music, so if you like collecting or decorating in this style, be sure to check my other sales as well.
"Somewhere in France is the Lilly" 1917, Folio Size 10 1/2" by 13 3/4" in extra-fine condition.
"Three Wonderful Letters From Home" 1918, Folio Size 10 1/2" by 13 3/4" in very good condition; some rub wear but
no tears or marks or folds.
"Over There" by George M. Cohan, 1917, Folio Size 10 1/2" by 13 3/4" probably the most famous of all WWI songs,in
very good condition; uncreased corner fold and some minor wrinkling that will disappear under a frame; actually looks better
than picture implies.
"You'll Have to Put Him to Sleep with the Marseillaise and Wake Him Up with a Oo-La-La" 1918, 9" by 12" in fine
condition; a few edgie-type flakes but nothing in the way of marks folds or tears. Interesting that the publisher felt that
American women didn't have ENOUGH to worry about with their husbands overseas... they needed to be reminded that those French
harlots were out to steal their men.
"Good Bye Old Khaki Lid" 1918, 9" by 12" in extra-fine condition.
"The Navy Took Them Over and The Navy Will Bring Them Back" 1918, "War Edition" size 7" by 10 1/2" in extra-fine
condition with nothing but minor rubwear on the surface.
"My Belgian Rose" 1918, "War Edition" size 7" by 10 1/2" in extra-fine condition with nothing but minor rubwear on
the surface.
"I Ain't Got Weary Yet" 1918, "War Edition" size 7" by 10 1/2" in near-mint condition.
